About Me
Hi there!
In my 35 years, I've lived a whirlwind of experiences. I’ve lived in vibrant cities like London, UK, and Dublin, Ireland, and eventually settled back home in Canada in 2017. Along the way, I pursued a bachelor of arts degree with a major in psychology from Western University. Furthering my passion for holistic well-being, I completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training and became a certified primal health coach through the Primal Health Institute.
Exploring the intricate connection among mind, body, and spirit has always fascinated me. The interplay of movement, thoughts, and nourishment, and how they influence our mental health and overall well-being, is a cornerstone of my work. With over a decade of experience in human resources in the corporate world, I've worked with some wonderful colleagues. However, the whirlwind of the pandemic provided the catalyst I needed to pursue something I had always wanted to do. I earned a master’s degree in counselling psychology, and I am now a registered psychotherapist (qualifying), committed to supporting people on their journey towards self-empowerment, growth, and healing.
When I'm not diving into all things psychotherapy, I love spending time with friends and family. Whether engaging in activities like tennis, hiking, or running to stay active, indulging in the excitement of musicals, travelling, or cooking, I find joy in the simple pleasures that bring balance and fulfillment to my life.
Why choose to work with me?
From my personal journey and working with clients, I believe we all have the strength and tools within to change. I provide a non -judgmental and safe space for clients to share openly and together we can work on small goals towards self empowerment, change, growth and healing.
We will start with a holistic assessment of your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being., taking into account relationships, lifestyle, belief systems, and stress levels.
Techniques will include talk therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, body-centred approaches, attachment theory, and narrative therapy.
We will focus on the mind-body connection to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs impact your physical well-being. We explore past experiences, which may have led to mistaken beliefs that have kept you in toxic patterns.
